Office pics

I was the first one to the office today so I took some pics. This first one is from the door, its a dark pic but you can see how open the office is. My "spot" is the comp on the left of the picture right behind the counter. The other picture is from the other side of the office. In that one my comp is on the right. You can see the chair I've stolen from another part of the office, but I only sit in it when there aren't any patients cause my head is about at counter level....not so good.

Amber + Griller-Nation

Amber came to stay with me this weekend which was really fun. She had a CPR training class in c'ville all day yesterday so she stayed the night at my house. On another note, we'd given my pops a new grill for father's day, and he's been grillin every night, so now the house is affectionately called Griller-Nation. I never want to eat anything thats not grilled again. mmmmm grilled food. On a third side note, I bought a new jar of PB yesterday to replace the 6 month expired topless jar I found in the fridge. pretty grosse. i mean how do you lose a peanut butter jar top? I was going to take a picture but I think someone finally threw it out. You never know what you'll find in the Thollander fridge. Wow that was a random post!

morning work affirmation

i told some of you about this, but every morning at work we do one of two "affirmations" where basically we recite together how awesome we are. oh ya. now a few of you requested to hear this, and i managed (with kla's advice) to take a picture of the sheet. it is VERY long, so i will post a snipit of it here, and if you want to hear more just let me know. here goes...

Here i am ready to serve with all of my abundant talents, skills, and treasures. I have unlimited resources because I am tapped into God's infinite supply of love. This love brings healing and restores the people who are brought into my life. I have become a powerful magnet that attracts multitudes of businesses, families, couples and individuals who are ready and able to make the services we offer an integral part of their life.....

and on and on and on (thats only about a fourth) but you get the idea. yep.

fire in the neighborhood

today i was coming home and there were at least 10 emergency vehicles in my neighborhood blocking the way to my house. so i parked on the street with all the other cars and started walking to my house. turns out about an hour before lightning had struck a house the next street over from mine and it caught on fire. when i walked by the whole roof and half of upper floor were completely gone and firetrucks were pouring water into it. it was crazy, and really really sad. we dont know the people who live there, and luckily they weren't home when it happened, but prayers for them would be great! i heard they only moved in a week ago.

home sweet midlands and maggie's bday

i knew we were back in wburg when a colonial man was shopping at bloom. it was great to see some of the girls this weekend (and of course alex!) and wish maggie a happy birthday! sorry to say good ole 4052 has encountered some problems since we left (sorry maggie!) like clogged drains and kitchen lights that only pretend to work. but it was fun to meet some of maggie's friends and of course great to be together. i cant wait for katie's wedding when we not only get to celebrate with katie and chris but also be together with everyone!

shopping shopping shopping

today my mom and i spent about 7 hours shopping! whew! but it was fun. i got a bunch of clothes for work, we went to lunch, and got father's day gifts. here's a picture of the new clothes i got. gray pants, a brown skirt, and three tops. i am now quite the young professional....or at least trying to be

india!

we've booked tickets to india! we'll leave nov 4 and come back on the 28th. im really excited! also, we're leaving later and this means ill also still be around during homecoming time if we get together for that! :)
