Today I embarked on a journey with a few friends to somewhere I have long wanted to go in Virginia- foamhenge! A life sized replica of Stonehenge made completely out of foam. And believe me- it did not disappoint!
And to sweeten the deal it happened to be near another (possibly more well known) landmark- the natural bridge! Also with out natural bridge tickets we got entrances to a butterfly room (which was surprisingly cool), a wax museum (terrifying and creepy), a native american village (complete with disgruntled reenactor who just complained about his job the whole time), and the natural bridge caverns (icing on the cake). I had no idea how many fantastic wonders were in one town!

Granny Thollander's Applesauce
Tonight I attended a Canadian thanksgiving in honor of their holiday tomorrow. We sang the Canadian national anthem, answered Canadian themed trivia, and ate delicious food. I brought Granny Thollander's apple sauce. The whole time while I was making it I thought "poke don't mash!" and "no blind dumping!"

Freedom of speech wall
On the Charlottesville downtown mall there is the "freedom of speech wall": a chalk wall where people can write whatever they want. Usually it is just filled with lame sayings and people's names, but sometimes you find some incredible artwork. Today was one of those days.

Canada!!
This past weekend I roadtripped up to Toronto, Canada with my parents to drop my brother off at school. Toronto is an incredible city! Clean, friendly, easy to get around, and beautiful! As an added bonus we stopped at Niagra Falls on the way home. I definitely recommend visiting both of those places!!

Today my nephew Jacob started middle school, Ben started third grade, and Sophie started kindergarten! Here is the picture my sister in law sent me. They are so grown up!
