last night our smoke detectors went off at 3:30am for about 10 mins, and then at 5:10 for about 25 minutes off and on. it was miserable. my dad and i couldn't figure out why they were going off and couldn't get them to stop. we found ourselves stumbling around crying things like "why is this happening!" and "will you please stop!" finally at 5:35 we headed back to bed with the wire of one smoke detector cut and the other two detectors yanked off the wall. they'll be able to be re-attached, but hopefully it won't happen again!

That's some dorm type stuff right there.
yikes this happened to us once during exams and i was SO mad. it was one that we couldn't reach because the ceiling is too high. they actually took out the smoke detector and never reinstalled it (we still have other ones). hope you guys get better sleep tonight!
did anyone else think of the Friends episode where Phoebe's smoke detector was beeping in the middle of the night? It's called "the one where they're up all night"...Jennie, you should look it up.
