oops

on my last post i forgot to include one of the 10 daily happy things from my "things to be happy about" calendar.

in honor of the current weather- "snow-filled branches of evergreens"
and a word i didn't know- "collocations" which according to Englishclub.com is:

two or more words that often go together. These combinations just sound "right" to native English speakers, who use them all the time. On the other hand, other combinations may be unnatural and just sound "wrong". Look at these examples:

Natural English...Unnatural English...
the fast train
fast food
the quick train
quick food
a quick shower
a quick meal
a fast shower
a fast meal

so yeah- i learned a new word today from the calendar!

Funnily enough, I could have gotten through life without ever using that word. I'm going to try to use it now though!
