two posts in two days!? what?! how can this be?my phone rang at 6:00 this morning and thinking it was my alarm i immediately shut it off. realizing it was too early for my alarm i looked again and saw i had a voicemail. it was the county schools informing me that because of flooding in the county and road closings there would be no school today! it was hard to believe, and after not being able to fall back asleep i got up at 7 and went downstairs to watch the news. sure enough- no school. i felt very fortunate and didn't want to waste the day, so i cooked some breakfast, went to the gym, and now i'm back home checking emails and such. i figured i'd take this opportunity to post a rare two days in a row.
and because it was requested yesterday, here are some things to be happy about today:
for the sunny side of you- cadmium yellows, oranges, and reds
for the dorky side of you- reference works updated daily
for the sort of odd side of you- communal, silent meals

i hope you enjoyed your day off! what a great start to the week! just so you know, i am disturbed by the idea of communal silent meals...i will require jolly banter at the nursing home
