so today was my first day of work (orientation) and i realized a few things about myself today.
here they are-
1- i really like name badges. even if the picture's crappy, and it's a pain to wear, while everyone else may dislike them, seeing my name under a bit of plastic for same reason makes me feel a little special. so ya. i like my name badge.
2- i have the tendency to flip the backs of dress shoes on and off, which isn't the greatest thing to do when wearing awesome "work socks" so that's good to keep in mind for the future. they look sorta weird when spotted outside of dress shoes.
3- i have a lot of learning to do in "adult world" matters. things such as life, health, & dental insurance. this is the first time i've had to pick my own insurance, and it takes a bit of focus to wrap my mind around. it probably doesn't help that the stack of pamphlets is probably 5 inches tall.
4- there is some sandwich shop around here which has i'm pretty sure the best cookies i've ever had. i must find
anyways, it was a pretty good day overall!

Who doesn't love a good nametag?
i realized this year that i also have an unusual love of name badges! we don't actually have to wear ours all the time but i do to feel special. those socks can be kinda tricky but i'm glad you're using them! good luck figuring out all those adult things. i haven't really had to do that yet so maybe you can advise me someday :)
